They desired a place to catch a match while enjoying tasty food and a thoughtful mix of grown-up beverages. Dreams of a spot to watch sports with 100 people and actually follow the action, no matter where they were sitting, made them dedicated to the reality. They decided to take matters into their own hands – thus, Thirsty Barons Sports Bar & Grill will be born in September.
With eclectic sport images adorning the walls and tables, the element of local flair is not lost as you glimpse hints of characterful local details. The atmosphere is both stylish and comfortable, making it the perfect setting for an after-work drink, a bite to eat or when you’re in the mood to catch the game. From high quality burgers and succulent steaks to house specialty wings, their menu boasts all of the comfort food classics, the perfect partner to a handle or two, choosing from their extensive selection of beers.
Thirsty Barons is proud to offer multiple TVs throughout the bar so you can watch as many different feeds simultaneously without someone blocking your view; NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL screenings that allow them to show your favourite teams and any out-of-market game; a mix of tap beers and assorted bottles, just in case taps aren’t enough; a full bar including a collection of house-made cocktails; a lounge area; a sports bar; a restaurant. They said it couldn’t be done. Happy Hour specials during the week with select drinks and bar snacks, bar food kicked up a notch, inspired by a chef that’s been in the local restaurant scene for years.

After the grand opening this weekend, Thirsty Barons will be open from 5:00pm to 1:30am every day except Mondays when they’re closed. The bar is located at 65 Corner Plaza, Airport Road in Simpson Bay, directly above Beautique.
