‘Touch a Truck’ with St. Maarten Concrete

Parents, are you looking for something different to do with the kids this weekend?

St. Maarten Concrete is hosting its very first “Touch a Truck” children’s event this Saturday, September 28, from 10:00am to 3:00pm in the TelEm parking lot in Philipsburg. This is the perfect opportunity to bring out all the kids and kids-at-heart, to see, touch and explore the awesome big trucks from St. Maarten Concrete!

The amazing Funtopia team will also be on location to keep us fully entertained. Your kids will get the chance to play on the bounce castle, get their faces painted, play with the balloon twisting clown and participate in so many more fun activities!

All the children in attendance will also get a chance to display their creativity under the arts & crafts tent as they engage in drawing and colouring activities. As a new partner of Fun Miles, they will be there to get everyone signed up as attendees learn more about the advantages of being a Fun Miles Card holder.

There will also be a refreshment corner selling a variety of snacks like popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs and delicious homemade cupcakes for a nominal fee. Entrance is just $1. All proceeds from this fun-filled family event will go towards the I Can Foundation.

Here’s a brief history about this foundation: The I Can Foundation was established and notarized on July 17, 1996. The board consists of seven members who represent a cross section of the community. Their commitment to the foundation was initialized from their work. With backgrounds in police work, schools, hospitality sector, insurance and accounting, the members have a wide variety of experience.

The first residents of the I Can Foundation came in 1998, and the foundation has since given shelter to more than 30 children. The foundation has also had the opportunity to provide shelter for children from the neighbouring Islands.

“Touch a Truck” is anticipated to be an extremely fun and educational event so don’t let your kids miss out on this great experience!
