Be a Social Media Hero for Cx3!

Be a Social Media Hero for Cx3!

By Foresee Foundation

Calling the people of St. Maarten to do their part in recognising the hard work of local organisations and non-profit organisations (NPOs); Foresee Foundation’s NPOwer and the St. Maarten Development Fund (SMDF’s) Community Corporate Challenge (Cx3) is heating up – and it’s your chance to be a part of this challenge.

This year-long initiative unites businesses and NPOs to tackle important causes on our island. Six teams have completed the first challenge and created videos showcasing their missions but they need your help to win the first challenge with the most likes, shares, and social media buzz.

Foresee Foundation’s NPOwer is impressed with the quality, creativity, and collaboration shown through the first of four challenges of the Cx3, which is more than just social media fame. Throughout the year, these teams will be hosting fundraisers, community events, and even a fun game day.

The participating teams are as follows:

  • Leaders for Change paired with the Social Economic Council Sint Maarten (SER)
  • National Institute of Arts (NIA) with Windward Roads
  • Freegan Foundation with BDO St. Maarten
  • Voice of the Youth Foundation with Port St. Maarten
  • St. Maarten Aids Foundation with Domino’s Pizza
  • Environmental Protection in the Caribbean (EPIC) with Grant Thornton

For the first challenge, here’s your chance to be a social media hero:

  • Head over to Volunteer.sx’s Facebook page or find the pages of the NPOs that resonate with you.
  • Search for the Cx3 video posts! Each team has a unique video highlighting their mission and goals.
  • Show your love! Like, share, and comment on the videos that inspire you.
  • Spread the word! Tell your friends, family, and followers about Cx3 and encourage them to join the movement – Remember, the team with the most social media engagement wins this round. Your support can make all the difference.

The overall challenge comprises four key components:

  • Each business paired with an NPO will create a viral social media video.
  • Teams will host fundraisers to support their partnered non-profit.
  • Teams will execute at least one community event.
  • Teams will host a games day!

Their ultimate goal?

  • To be crowned St. Maarten’s Best CSR Organization while making a lasting positive impact on our island.
  • To win the entire Cx3, the team must win most of the challenges.

Want to learn more?

  • Head over to Volunteer.sx to discover everything about Cx3 and the participating teams.
  • Together, let’s leverage the power of social media for good.
  • Show your St. Maarten spirit and rally behind these amazing causes.
  • With your help, we can make a real difference in our community.

Teams are now heading into the second challenge: They can pick between a fundraiser and a community outreach event. Teams can opt to switch around the second and third challenges. Unfortunately, due to logistical issues, team Nature Foundation and Kooyman NV opted out of the competition.

Join your favourite team in this exciting journey and help make a difference in St. Maarten.
