St. Maarten’s long halted cruise calls finally resume this Saturday, June 5, with weekly homeporting voyages by Millennium of Celebrity Cruises. It is undoubtedly an important moment for the entire island and its tourism economy as they recover from the coronavirus pandemic.
Particularly merchants in the Philipsburg shopping area have direly missed passengers coming off ships in Great Bay Harbor and are looking forward to some renewed business, as is the rest of the destination’s dominant hospitality industry.
