From St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association
St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA) would like to welcome the guests of Celebrity Millennium to the beautiful island of St. Maarten! We are as much excited for this milestone in homeporting as we are for the return of cruising after this past pandemic year.
This week’s visit of the Celebrity Millennium adds a new chapter to the history of our Port and St. Maarten’s destination as a world class cruise facility.
The St. Maarten hospitality sector has been working hard to provide you with safe resorts, activities, restaurants and bars to enjoy while staying in your destination of departure. Many of the island’s properties and companies are part of the SafeSeal program, encouraging best international practices and the highest standards of protection against COVID-19 in public spaces.
While we are, of course, continuing to encourage hand washing and frequent sanitizing, the use of protective masks and social distancing; our delightful island’s outdoor ambiance allows for much more relaxed precautions, with much to discover! From amazing, scuba and snorkel locations, to renowned cuisine, the highest zip line, spas and hiking trails, as well as our unmatched shoreline – with one beach per square mile; each more beautiful than the other – it’s finally time for you to get outdoors and enjoy the change of scenery.
The St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association would like to congratulate Celebrity Cruises and Port St. Maarten, the Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication (TEATT) on the success of reaching this recovery milestone and putting St. Maarten more than ever on the map as a premier HOME destination.
