The number of persons recovered since the first case surfaced on St. Maarten is now 488. There are 132 persons in quarantine based on contact tracing investigations carried out by CPS of persons who may have been in contact with any of the active cases.
CPS has tested 986 travellers arriving at the Princess Juliana International Airport, (PJIA) and 1,880 persons throughout the community.
CPS assured that as the numbers continue to fluctuate, it will continue to actively execute its contact tracing measures.
CPS urges the community to not become discouraged by the recent increase in positive cases; “as we continue to adhere to the implemented guidelines we will flatten the curve”.
