BELVEDERE--The Asset Recovery Team seized a vehicle at Anna’s Hope Estate #39 in Belvedere on Wednesday morning in connection with the ongoing “PEN” investigation.
J.E.A.F., born in Aruba on February 17, 1949, is the main suspect in this investigation. J.E.A.F. is accused of money laundering, amongst other things. J.E.A.F. has not been detained, according to the Prosecutor on Wednesday.
The Asset Recovery Team St. Maarten is a collaboration of the Police Force KPSM, the Tax Authority, Customs, the Caribbean Coast Guard, and the Prosecutor’s Office. It was founded on the basis that crime should not pay. Proceeds seized by the Asset Recovery Team will benefit Country St. Maarten.
