POND ISLAND--All businesses on the Dutch side are allowed to stay open until 10:00pm for the entire month of December as has been customary since 2012.
Tourism and Economic Affairs Minister Stuart Johnson announced the extra opening hours in a public notice. He said this was “a means to promote economic activity throughout the Christmas holiday season.”
The extra opening hours also cover all Sundays and Boxing Day, December 26.
Businesses are permitted to open until 6:30pm on Christmas Day, December 25, and New Year's Day, January 1, 2019.
