WILLEMSTAD--Inhabitants of the Koraal Specht neighbourhood where Curaçao’s “Sentro di Detenshon i Korekshon Kòrsou” (SDKK) is located no longer look strangely at drones flying above their houses, but last Sunday they could not help but notice.
One drone flew back and forth to the prison 10 times. At least that is what people told the local media.
Illegal items are regularly dropped in the penitentiary by means of the remote aircraft. The residents do not understand how they see all this while the authorities apparently can’t, because prison personnel, police and military assisting to guard the facility don’t seem to be taking much action against the practice.
