Antigua students in Anguilla.
ANGUILLA--A group of students between the ages of fifteen and seventeen from the Princess Margaret Secondary School (Business Studies Unit) visited Anguilla from Saturday, June 29 to Saturday, July 6, for their second annual educational trip. They were attached to several government departments that offered a great experience for the students. They were accompanied and supervised by their Business Studies teacher, Zona Vincere Barthley-Coochrane and two parents.
The purpose of the visit was to provide the students with overseas work experience. The week commenced with a church service at the St. Mary’s Anglican Church followed by an island tour, on Sunday, June 30. The students were placed at 13 government departments and at the Health Authority of Anguilla, Primary Health Care Unit.
The government Departments that facilitated the work experience for the students were those of Sports, Physical Planning, Immigration, Information Technology, Social Development, Post Office, Radio Anguilla, Health Protection, Agriculture, Inland Revenue, Labour and the Commercial Registry.
The students expressed their sincere appreciation to those who made their Anguillian visit a wonderful and enjoyable experience, one that they will always remember.
