Emergency line out Sunday

The Police Force 911 emergency-services centre was disrupted at 9:30am Sunday due to technical problems.

Technicians worked on the issue for hours and resolved it at 4:00pm Sunday. Several calls were placed to the 911 emergency services during the fall-out period but the callers did not receive any answer. The police management apologises to the community for this unfortunate situation and for the inconvenience the interruption may have caused. In the event the 911 emergency service falls out, the public should direct all emergency phone calls to the police headquarters in Philipsburg using tel. 542-2222. The operator will receive the call and forward it to the on-duty commander who will dispatch the police patrols and paramedics to the scene of the emergency.
