ST. EUSTATIUS--One guest of St. Eustatius’ Golden Era Hotel is recovering from smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in one of the hotel rooms on Oranjebaaiweg Saturday evening. The guest was taken to the local hospital for a medical check-up.
The fire brigade responded to the fire alarm and put out the blaze. The road was blocked as a safety precaution for pedestrians and motorists while the fire was tackled. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
