Govt. departments closed due to electrical issues

PHILIPSBURG--The public and customer service sections of several government departments will be closed today Monday, April 4, due to “unforeseen electrical problems,” the Ministry of General Affairs said on Sunday.

The nature of the electrical issues was not divulged. Closed today will be the Receivers Office, Department of Civil Registry, Public Service Center in Simpson Bay, Finance Department, Records and Information Management DIV and the Department of Economic Licenses.

The General Affairs Ministry said all civil servants must report to work as normal.

An update will be given this afternoon as to the restoration of the public/customer services at the Departments affected. Government has apologised for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
