PHILIPSBURG--Prime Minister and Chairperson of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Silveria Jacobs hit the ground running after she was sworn in on Saturday; as she had a meeting with doctors and stakeholders in the health sector on the same day.
The meeting was with members and stakeholders of Emergency Services Function six (ESF 6), led by Public Health. In the meeting representatives of St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC), Ambulance Department and general practitioners (GPs) were present.
ESF 6 Coordinator/Acting Secretary-General and Head of the Public Health Department Fenna Arnell as well as Collective Prevention Services (CPS) were also present. Fruitful discussions were had with the stakeholders aimed at enhancing communication, cooperation and collaboration considering St. Maarten’s limited capacity and resources in the fight against COVID-19.
