Man falls from City Furniture building

PHILIPSBURG--A man was seriously injured after falling from the three-storey building on L.B. Scott Road that houses the City Furniture store Wednesday afternoon.

Acting police spokesman Rehensely Henson said police had received a call that a man had fallen from the building.
At the scene, the patrol found the victim on the ground bleeding profusely. After the man was treated by ambulance personnel, it was discovered that he had a large gash on the lower part of his right arm. The man is believed to be a tenant in the building, which also houses several apartments.
“Although in tremendous pain, the victim seemed very responsive to the attending medical technicians. With assistance of officers on site, the victim was lifted to the ambulance and transported to the emergency room for further treatment,” Henson said.
