PHILIPSBURG-Police arrested a man J.V. during a routine traffic control on Sunday evening. The suspect had a gun in his possession and could not produce documentation showing ownership of the vehicle he was driving at the time.
Police reported on Wednesday that the arrest took place during a search of the vehicle when officers discovered a weapon under the driver’s seat of the car. The man was questioned by officers and he failed giving a valid explanation for the weapon.
The suspect was arrested on site and the weapon and vehicle were confiscated for further investigation.
