WILLEMSTAD--The Curaçao government recently added three sectors to the “NOW list” for April. Companies in these new sectors have until Thursday to apply for the first round of the wage subsidy.
Gas stations, advertising agencies and print shops for advertisements as well as media that depend on advertisements can still register, announced by Minister Giselle Mc William of Economic Development MEO.
The addition of the sectors to the list of the Emergency Measure Bridging Employment NOW was possible after an evaluation of the first application period that expired at 10:00pm last week Wednesday. Mc William: "We analysed how much money was left and, based on figures and expert advice, decided which sectors we could add to qualify for this first round."
It regards a contribution towards salary costs of up to 80 per cent for business owners with turnover losses of at least 25 per cent. Like the others, companies from these three additional sectors were given five days to submit an application until Thursday, April 30 at 6 pm.
