Painful cuts

Windward Islands Teachers Union (WITU) President Claire Elshot on Friday delivered to Parliament House letters inviting all Members of Parliament (MPs) to a joint meeting with the four unions representing government workers, at the WICSU/PSU office on Walter Nisbeth Road (Pondfill) at 6:00pm Tuesday, April 2.

The delivery of the letters is in keeping with a mandate the four unions received from their membership on Thursday evening. At the meeting with MPs, the unions will convey their members’ concerns relating to the draft National Ordinance for the Revision of the Pension of Civil Servants, and the cost of living adjustment (COLA).
