Plans for 452-room hotel slated for the former Sonesta Great Bay Resort can be reviewed

Residents or other interested parties who want to learn more about or object to the planned 452-room hotel slated for the former Sonesta Great Bay Resort property bordering Great Bay Beach, have until May 20 to do so. Anyone who wants to review the plans should contact the VROMI Department of Permits for an appointment. At the end of the permit review period, the objections will be assessed for validity by the Ministry of Spatial Planning and Infrastructure VROMI, and where relevant, adjustments will be made to the plans. Once the permits are approved, the construction of the new hotel and casino can commence. The property when completed is expected to be branded Planet Hollywood. The property is owned by Canadian-based travel group Sunwing. (John Halley photo)
