OVER THE BANK--Police arrested a young man L.P. (18) in Over the Bank around 1:00am Monday for assaulting his mother.
Police were called to Over the Bank around 1:00am Monday because of a “family dispute.”
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman who had a swollen jaw and several cuts on her body, one of which was on her left ear. Paramedics later treated the woman for these injuries.
The woman told the officers that she and her son P. got into a verbal disagreement that quickly escalated into a physical fight between them.
The woman filed an official complaint with the officers against her son, who was also still at the location. Police then arrested him and charged him with ill treatment.
He was taken to the Philipsburg police station, where he is being held pending further investigation.
