Police investigating attempted murder

ANGUILLA--Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident that occurred in Cauls Bottom Road about 1:50am on Sunday, June 24.


The police report that initial investigations revealed that the victim was a 49-year-old woman who was shot by two male assailants as she was about to exit her car. She received several injuries and was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Several persons are in police custody assisting with the investigation. The police are appealing to members of the public who may have been in the area at the time of the incident to report any information to The Valley Police Station or to the RAPF website.
The police have not revealed the extent of the victim’s injuries.
