Port announces spectacular  fireworks on New Year’s Eve

PHILIPSBURG--Preparations are in full swing for the highly anticipated annual New Year’s Eve fireworks display over Great Bay. Organised by the Port St. Maarten Group (PSG), the dazzling event will light up the sky at midnight on Tuesday, December 31, marking the arrival of 2025.

PSG is excited to bring this cherished tradition to the community, offering a festive evening of joy and celebration to ring in the new year.

“The 2024-2025 high cruise season began with incredible momentum,” PSG shared in a statement. “2024 has been an exceptional year for cruise tourism in St. Maarten, and we are optimistic about 2025, anticipating continued growth and success.”

The organisation extended gratitude to the island’s tourism and hospitality professionals for their dedication and excellence, which have been vital to St. Maarten’s thriving tourism sector.

As the community gathers to welcome the new year, PSG urged everyone to prioritise safety and enjoy the celebrations with family and friends.

PSG management conveyed warm wishes to all, stating, “We wish everyone a safe and healthy 2025 filled with prosperity and happiness. Let’s celebrate the start of this new chapter together at the Great Bay fireworks display.”
