COLE BAY--Prime Distributors has dismissed as "misleading" and "incorrect" a video that has been circulating on social media, alleging that the company is selling relief goods.
In a brief press statement on Friday the company's management said the items shown in the video are not relief supplies.
The video shows food service packages that were sent from Puerto Rico after the passing of Hurricane Irma for Prime to include in its in-store products as regular items, it was stated in the release.
“Prime has always supported and contributed to the community in its greatest times of crisis over the years and will continue to do so,” the release said.
