This afternoon through Thursday midday: Partly cloudy to cloudy and breezy with isolated showers.

SURFACE WINDS: 
This afternoon through Thursday midday: Northeasterly to east northeast with a gentle to moderate breeze of 08 to 18 mph and higher gusts possible.  

       

SYNOPSIS:        

The strengthening Atlantic high-pressure ridge will continue to generate brisk winds. Moisture associated with a low-level trough approaching the region is expected to generate cloudy spells and isolated showers.  


Marine conditions continue to deteriorate. Consequently, the small craft advisory has been upgraded to a small craft warning for St. Maarten. Meanwhile, the high surf advisory will be cancelled later today. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution as sea conditions will remain hazardous for the remainder of the week.
