Paraplegic resident Reginald Pantophlet of Fritz Pantophlet Ready to Move Foundation has lauded and thanked Windward Roads for donating the handicap parking sign at his apartment.
Pantophlet said his foundation will be looking at various matters to ensure that disabled persons in St. Maarten are treated fairly when it comes to issues such as parking, transportation and financial aid. He believes the country should have a “disability fund,” not named “onderstand.” The foundation also plans to approach government and businesses to ensure that all buildings are wheelchair-accessible.
