High school student Jada Kranenburg, accompanied by her godmother Nivana Sawyer de Weever, was among the young Catholics who had their confirmation into the arms of the church in Sunday in the Church of the Risen Christ in South Reward.
The rite of confirmation was conducted by Luigi Secco, Bishop of Willemstad, with the assistance of St. Martin of Tours Parish Priest Adam Oleszczuk. The Bishop came to St. Maarten especially for the rite that is performed when a baptized person, especially one baptized as an infant, affirms Christian belief and is admitted as a full member of the church.
