Second shooting suspect still sought by Gendarmes

MARIGOT--Gendarmerie Captain Regis Turlan Arto said Tuesday that the second suspect in last Wednesday’s shooting incident in which Dutch-side police officers were fired at, is still at large and “not at the address where he is supposed to live.” Law enforcement of both sides is actively searching for the individual.

The first suspect meanwhile was caught on the evening of the incident in French Quarter and is currently in detention in Guadeloupe awaiting extradition. Both suspects were residents of the Dutch side. Turlan Arto said, however, the extradition process could take weeks or even months to finalise.
