Nature Foundation Managing Director Tadzio Bervoets attended the 50th anniversary of Stinapa Bonaire National Parks Foundation.
The guest of honour of the celebration was Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands, royal patron of the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance (DCNA), the network organisation of nature parks in the Dutch Caribbean, of which Bervoets is vice-chair. Bervoets was a panel member during the DCNA Symposium of Environment and Economics in which the importance of the environment in economic development was highlighted. Bervoets updated Princess Beatrix on the environmental recovery of St. Maarten after Hurricane Irma and the status of environmental conservation in the country.
