Time’s up

Businesses in Philipsburg and some concerned residents are calling on the Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications (TEATT) Inspectorate and the Department of Economic Licences to control those persons who are still using their 21-day Carnival vending permits.

Some of the vendors erected trailers and structures on the ring road opposite W.J.A. Nisbeth Road. The vending period was only during Carnival season and those persons are still conducting business on the ring road, competing with several restaurants in Philipsburg. Some wood and chairs are left abandoned at several locations and continue to be an eyesore for visitors and residents.
