USM students visit

Tourism and Hospitality students of University of St. Martin (USM) made a courtesy call at the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary in The Hague as part of their orientation visit to the Netherlands. They were welcomed by Deputy Minister Plenipotentiary Hasani Ellis who gave the students information on the best practices he experienced, both while studying in the Netherlands and now in his new post. Some students are expected to return to the Netherlands to further their studies and their questions to Ellis centred on the living and study environment and what to expect when moving there. Ellis challenged students to pay keen attention to the changing innovations in the fields of Hospitality and Tourism and to capitalise on these experiences by taking them back to St. Maarten and transforming the ideas into an enhanced St. Maarten tourism product.
