With Marigot Port closure no ferries travelling to Anguilla

ANGUILLA--The Marigot Port is suspending all passenger movements to and from Blowing Point until further notice. The Board of Directors of the Anguilla Air and Seaport Authority (AASPA) advised the public that it is due to efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19. The last ferry left Marigot at 7:00pm on Tuesday, March 17.

The AASPA notes that cargo movement will continue unaffected from Galisbay Port and the Blowing Point Port will remain open. The AASPA extends gratitude to the Governor’s Office, the government of Anguilla and its agencies, ferry owners and operators and the officials of the Marigot Port and the other cooperating French authorities for all their diligence and assistance and assures that the safety and security of the travelling public remain of paramount importance.

For now the Anguilla Dock by Juliana Airport is open and ferries are travelling from there direct to Anguilla. However, a spokesperson for one of the ferries said it was not known how long this would continue.
