ROAD TOWN, Tortola--The cities of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and New York, New York, will be the focal points for the Business Development Team of the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission (BVITBFC) on October 10 and 11, respectively, as a contingent from the Territory hosts the fall education roadshows, according to a press release from the British Virgin Islands (BVI) Tourist Board.
The roadshows will feature several of the BVITBFC’s tourism industry partners, including Guana Island, Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals, Allamanda Estate, The Moorings, Scrub Island Resort, Spa and Marina, Virgin Hotel Collection: Necker Island and The Branson Beach Estate, Tradewinds Aviation, Island Vibe Destinations and British Concierge. The BVITBFC along with its partners will make presentations to key North American travel advisors on what is new and exciting in the destination and why the BVI should still be their clients’ number one choice, the release states. The presentations will take place during an evening event which will include live entertainment. A highlight of the evening will be a special presentation to the travel advisors who are the top sellers of BVI travel. Chairman of the BVITBFC, Delma Maduro will also attend the roadshows.
Commenting on the reason for the roadshows, Perla George, Director of Business Development in North America said, “This is the first face-to-face meeting we are having with travel advisors since the pandemic, a time when we only met virtually. I am excited to meet our top-producing travel advisors and express thanks for their commitment to selling the destination. We and our partners are eager to share news with them on the latest developments in the destination and to show our commitment to a robust continued partnership.”
The first roadshow takes place at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on October 10, and moves on to Virgin Hotels New York City, New York, on October 11, the release concludes.
