ROAD TOWN, BVI--It’s that time of year again in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), when adventure enthusiasts and diving aficionados from around the world are gearing up for the highly anticipated event – BVI Wreck Week 2025, according to a press release from the BVI Scuba Organization. Set to take place from June 15 to 21, this thrilling week-long extravaganza promises an unparalleled exploration of maritime history and underwater wonders, it adds.

Organized by the BVI Scuba Organization, BVI Wreck Week 2025 is a celebration of the rich maritime heritage and natural beauty that the British Virgin Islands have to offer. From seasoned wreck divers to curious beginners, this event caters to all levels of experience, offering a diverse range of activities and experiences both above and below the waterline.

Highlighting the event are the meticulously preserved wrecks and art-reefs that dot the seafloor of the British Virgin Islands. Participants will have the opportunity to dive into history as they explore these fascinating underwater sites, each with its own story to tell. From legendary “Pirate” ships to World War II-era vessels, these wrecks serve as time capsules, offering glimpses into the past and stirring the imagination of all who visit them, the release states.

But BVI Wreck Week is not just about diving – it's a full-fledged festival celebrating the marine environment and the vibrant culture of the British Virgin Islands. Attendees can look forward to a packed schedule of events, including beach parties, live music performances, culinary delights featuring local cuisine, and educational seminars on marine conservation and preservation.

"We are thrilled to once again welcome divers and adventurers from around the world to BVI Wreck Week 2025," said Kim Huish, President of the BVI Scuba Organization. "This event is not only an opportunity to explore some of the most captivating wrecks in the Caribbean but also a chance to immerse yourself in the beauty and culture of the British Virgin Islands."

BVI Wreck Week 2025 promises an unforgettable experience for all who attend – whether you're an avid diver, history buff, or simply looking for an exciting getaway, according to the release. If you can’t get here this year you can still follow along online as there will be daily, often “Live” posts to our socials, it adds.

New this year, our partners at Horizon Yacht Charters are offering an amazing way to sail to all the events. You’ll find links to sail with them on our website, states the BVI Scuba Organization, adding that it’s also very excited to be bringing Rebecca Strauss along for the ride, from DIVEIN.com.
