At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Fourwas located near latitude 10.6 North, longitude 36.5 West. Thedepression is moving toward the west near 13 mph (20 km/h). Amotion toward the west is expected today, followed by a turn towardthe west-northwest later tonight or on Wednesday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.Gradual strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and thedepression is expected to become a tropical storm later today.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1009 mb (29.80 inches).
