NSI installs basketball hoop at Miss Lalie Youth Care and Rehabilitation Center

CAY BAY--The National Sports Institute (NSI) has installed a new basketball hoop at the Miss Lalie Youth Care and Rehabilitation Center, ensuring that the youth at the facility can continue to enjoy the game they love.

After receiving information that the existing basketball hoop was broken and that the youth were eager to play, NSI looked for a durable solution. In alignment with its vision to create sporting opportunities for all, the decision to provide a new, durable hoop was an easy one.

“We believe that every young person should have access to sports, regardless of their circumstances,” said Sigfried Hodge, Facility Manages at NSI. “Basketball is not just a game — it builds teamwork, discipline, and confidence, and we wanted to make sure the youth at Miss Lalie have the opportunity to benefit from that.”

High-quality materials were purchased to ensure the hoop’s longevity, and the installation was carried out alongside the youth, giving them a sense of ownership and pride in their new playing space.

NSI would also like to install a hoop at Turning Point Foundation and is seeking a financial partner/sponsor.
