CAY HILL—The St. Maarten Sports Federation will host an Extra Ordinary Meeting at Raoul Illidge Sport Complex Saturday starting at 6:00pm.
"At this meeting we will inform every one of the Promising Athletes Project and announce the day of the kick-off," said federation president Aartwichgt Bell.
"We will provide information of the project vision and explain the reasons why it must be execute."
The program calls for the identification of talented athletes from the various sports, the training of coaches and then the high performance training of the athletes with a goal of competing at the
Central America and Caribbean Games and the Pan-American Games starting in 2018.
The coaching course is expected to begin in October.
