Under 14 football selection to compete in CFU Challenge

PHILLIPSBURG—The Under 14 boys football selection will be travelling to Haiti in July. The team will compete in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Challenge July 21-29.


The group will face several other Caribbean Countries and are hoping to make their mark in the region. “The national selection players have been training for some time now and are excited to be able to represent St. Maarten abroad,” said President of the St. Maarten Football Federation (‘SXMFF’), Sudesh Singh. “Our goal is to make sure they gain the ncessary experience and, most importantly, for them to have fun playing ‘the Beautiful Game.”
He continued to explain participation in international tournaments will continue to strengthen the national players, the local football programs and hopefully inspire more youths to play.
