Desiree: What kind of training is good for your body?

Hi, my name is Desiree Winkel, owner and founder of Fitness Coaching. I’ve been working for years in my own personal training studio with clients who like to get fit and healthy, and even those who are in pain. To choose an exercise that is the right one for your body is sometimes quite difficult.

At the moment there are so many trends in workouts, so many personal trainers with all their own skills and ideas of what is good for you.

I find that a lot of people do not all the time overthink the type of workout that they are doing. People who go to the gym for spinning classes who only want to gain some muscles, people who want to lose weight but not get flabby when they do so. “Why,” I always ask myself, “invest in something that costs money and is time consuming while that type of exercise is absolutely not the one that you should look for?”

Now, I understand that personal training is not for everybody’s budget. Although we at Fitness Coaching trying to keep the prices reasonable. And if I may believe my clients, the price against the quality we give seems to be good.

Like I said, it’s not for everybody’s budget. Therefore, we are going to extend our services from October 2018, with more classes to choose from. At the moment we are working very hard to put it together, so we can make our clients, but also our prospective clients, very happy. We will from October give you the possibility to follow different classes at different hours just for one price. And may I say a very attractive price. So stay tuned.

Enough of that. Before you choose a class, or a type of trainer, focus on what your goal is. Ask yourself the question: “Where do I want to be six months from now?” “How do I want to feel?” “How do I want to look?” What can I expect? “Do I need to change my habits?” “Are my thoughts realistic?” “Can my body handle this physically?”

You just have to ask these questions before you make the decision. This is the only way to meet your goal. And don’t forget on this island you even can, for example if you play a sport like tennis, sailing, football, swimming or others, improve your success level because you train specifically in that area that needs some extra attention. Yes, even when you are biking you can absolutely improve your speed and balance.

When you are older, and you have noticed that you are losing your balance a lot, you should get a trainer that trains you for this. You will be amazed that with functional training you can improve your balance so much.

In other words, there is hardly any reason for not getting the right fitness training that fits you.
