~ So good ~
I walked in during the early morning hours, and felt peaceful as always. Top Carrot promotes health, not just what you eat, but also what you put on your skin (skincare products) and what you put into your mind (books).
Adding to that, Top Carrot gift shop includes gorgeous costume and silver jewellery, art work, bags and more. Top Carrot has a lot to offer so it is no surprise to see that when it's full, it's really full. But what Top Carrot is most famous for is its delicious and healthy menu; fresh fruit smoothies and juices.
The location doesn't hurt either. It was so nice to come in the morning and have the whole place to myself save one couple. The very early morning rush had already gone to work, and now it was my time to gladly go on with my "work."
For breakfast, I happily ordered two smoothies: pineapple mango and mint combination – so delicious, I want one almost every day.
I ordered the egg white omelette called Healthy Choice Omelette, which included delicious veggies such as green and red sweet peppers, onions, mushrooms and avocado. My dining partner's plate was the very popular toasted "golden brown" seven-grain French bread with tomato, mozzarella, avocado, roasted peppers and fresh basil. The combination of the light crunch of the toast with the melted mozzarella, soaked sweet peppers and fresh basil on top makes it a much desired option!
I like to get up and walk around sometimes, to see the various enticing gift items, check out what new books they have and of course let my eyes roll over the sparkling jewellery. With the bright colours and even cool clothing options, it's always fun to be in there! I decided that it was a good idea to order dessert. It's breakfast, after all; I'll have all day to burn it off – just this one rare time.
I ordered myself a cappuccino to dunk my banana muffin in. What I love about the banana muffin is that it not only looks cool with the slices of banana, but it's also slightly caramelized, and sweet, and just so satisfying – the aroma is beautiful too. The giant chocolate chip cookies are also very popular and disappear in a flash, especially with coffee!
Top Carrot continues to help out all of us living on St. Maarten with its message "Don't fight - Eat right" through its tasty and healthy, fresh food!
