CUL DE SAC--AntillesRealty has introduced a 3D camera to its line-up of technological tools to aid home-buyers and -sellers. The platform enables the real estate company to create and interact with realistic, photo-based three-dimensional images of interior spaces.

AntillesRealty is the first and only real estate company in St.Maarten to provide this technology to its clients. The camera provides an immersive virtual tour that enables the user to walk through a home without actually being there, said the real estate company.

“This advanced computer vision software and innovative camera hardware make it possible and practical to create visually compelling 3D models of spaces and incorporate them into a variety of contexts through simple web applications,” said AntillesRealty Chief Executive Officer Maayke de Haan. “We are always seeking out cutting-edge tools that bring real value to our clients. It’s like having an open house all of the time.”

With this new tool, buyers can make the decision quickly to fly to St. Maarten to view a certain property and make an offer without wasting time and money to fly to the island based on pictures and descriptions and being disappointed, she said.

Post-Hurricane Irma exposure of the island has caught the interest of many foreign investors who want to invest and help with reconstruction, De Haan said. “Foreign investors need reliable information in a timely manner by serious brokers, so we at Antilles Realty had to adapt and provide the best tools available to showcase properties worldwide.”
