PHILIPSBURG--St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) will soon be equipped with two Dominant Flex Mobile Suction Machines and five Sam Say Corporation SSCOR Duet Portable Suction Devices thanks to a recent donation of US $10,000 from CIBC FirstCaribbean.
The machines – which are scheduled to arrive in the island within the coming weeks – will be used in the fight against the COVID-19 health crisis in St. Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius.
The bank – through its charitable arm FirstCaribbean International ComTrust Foundation – donated a total of US $250,000 across countries in its regional footprint. The donation is amongst a list of COVID-19 relief efforts by the bank.
