Customs officer shot in  early hours of Friday

ANGUILLA--Reports reaching The Daily Herald are that Customs officer Kurtz Lloyd was shot through his bedroom window about 2:15 in the morning of Friday, September 18.

  The officer was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment and is reportedly in stable condition. The incident was confirmed by Commissioner of Police Paul Morrison but no further details have been given.

  Governor Tim Foy on his Facebook page said that he and the deputy governor were shocked to hear of the shooting incident and wished Lloyd a speedy recovery. Lloyd is a well-known cyclist in Anguilla and has assisted with the development of cycling events on the island.
