CAY HILL--Mental Health foundation (MHF) psychiatrist Dr. Kitty Pelswijk has been appointed Interim Director of the foundation effective October 1, according to a press release from MHF board President Dr. Felix Holiday.
According to the release, the MHF board will supervise and guide Dr. Pelswijk in the execution of her tasks and duties as Interim Director, including the establishment of the foundation’s strategic goals and policies.
Dr. Pelswijk will be supported in her role by the management team, consisting of the Administrator, the Human Resource Manager, the Facilities Manager and the Executive Assistant.
Former Interim Director Eileen Healy will continue to support the foundation with ongoing projects, specifically the facility’s urgently-needed expansion.
The MHF board expressed its appreciation for Dr. Pelswijk’s accepting the role of Interim Director, whilst she continues to function as psychiatrist MHF.
“The board of the foundation remains committed to the core purpose of the foundation and will continue to uphold the mission of the foundation, which is ‘To provide quality psychiatric care and staff satisfaction within agreed budgets’,” said the release.
“In closing, the board and management of the foundation remain guided in fulfilment of its role by the vision of the foundation, which is to promote continuity and to provide consistency, prevention, quality psychiatric treatment, cure and wellness to all of our clients,” according to the release.
