EBENEZER--St. Maarten Academy FAVE school board celebrated Teacher's Appreciation Day with a special treat for their staff from both campuses on November 1, at St. Maarten Academy PSVE.

The teachers were treated to a comedy performance by local comedian Fernando Clark, who had them falling to their knees in laughter.

The president of the board Roland Duncan and board member Elroy Hughes were in attendance. During the event, Hughes thanked the teachers for their dedication and hard work and expressed gratitude for their efforts.

“This was a beautiful and new beginning for the institution as many teachers were happy with the recognition and appreciation received from the board”, FAVE stated in a press release on Thursday.

The school was beautifully decorated for the event, creating a festive mood. After a hearty feast, the staff entertained each other with karaoke performances.

Tyler Percival, a student of St. Maarten Academy PSVE entertained the staff with a performance of a medley of songs on the steel pans.

“Teachers were motivated and pleased with this treat from the FAVE school board”, the board concluded.

The FAVE school board invites the general public to visit their Facebook page “St. Maarten Academy PSVE” to view a selection of videos and pictures of the day’s event.
