Freedom fighter from Anguilla Revolution Vernon Hodge dies

 

ANGUILLA--The Government of Anguilla has announced the passing of Vernon Hodge of Island Harbour and is expressing sympathy to his family and friends. Flags are being flown at half-mast on Thursday and Friday this week and a national funeral will be held on Saturday, January 12, at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church.

The late Vernon Hodge was one of the outstanding foot soldiers in the 1967 Anguilla Revolution. He was awarded with the Anguilla Badge of Honour and Queen’s Certificate in 2008 for his outstanding contribution to the Revolution.
