PHILIPSBURG--In an effort to avoid the large crowds at its offices as had been the case last week, utilities company GEBE will be catering to specific groups, who want to pay their bills in the coming weeks.

The company said that on Monday, May 4, and Wednesday, May 6, only seniors and the physically challenged will be allowed in its office to pay their bills. And each client will only be allowed to pay two bills.

On Friday, May 8, only frontline workers and pregnant women will be allowed in the office to pay their bills. Frontline workers must walk with their company badge. Anyone entering the building must wear a mask and social distancing rules will be applied.

GEBE’s Philipsburg Main Branch will open from 7:45am to 1:00pm and the branch office in Simpson Bay will be open from 7:45am to 12:00noon.

Persons who would like to sign up for GEBE's Online Services MyAccount (pay bills online) can visit GEBE’s Customer Care Department which will be opened at both branches to assist customers with this. This option is also available via telephone (546-1100, 546-1160, 546-1111, 546-1112, 588-3117). Persons making use of this option will only be able to sign up for online services if they are not a senior, physically challenged, pregnant or a frontline worker. The schedule for the week of May 11 to 15 will be announced at a later date.
