Government reduces gas, diesel fuel prices

PHILIPSBURG--The Government of St. Maarten, which regulates the prices of petroleum products by imposing a maximum price at which wholesalers and retailers call sell these products, has decided to decrease the prices for unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel as of 6:00am today, Tuesday, November 20.

Citing developments on the international level during which the prices of crude oil on the international market were adjusted downward, the Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunication (TEATT) announced Monday that the price at the pumps for unleaded gasoline will be reduced by NAf. 0.22, from NAf. 2.177, to the new price of NAf. 1.957.

The price of diesel fuel (gasoil) will go down 10 cents, from the current price of NAf. 1.816, to the new price of NAf. 1.712.
