Nine candidates who started police training with the Caribbean Netherlands Police Force KPCN in 2018 were certified on Wednesday, December 9.
Chief of Police Jose Rosales opened the official ceremony with a speech, followed by Bonaire Island Governor Edison Rijna and Acting Chief Prosecutor Marian Veneberg. The graduates were also addressed by training coordinator Lionel Vrutaal, Police Academy team leader Rob Apelhof, Internal Affairs Office employee Angelo Diaz and Head of Basic Police Care Edwin van der Giessen. After the speeches, each student signed their diploma and received their new rank insignia, as from now on they can call themselves official police officers.
