ST. EUSTATIUS--Students of Gwendoline van Putten (GvP) secondary school’s practical stream travelled to St. Maarten on Thursday for a two-day educational excursion.

During their stay in St. Maarten students Acardia Fortin, Keranje Woodley, Adrian Arndell and hospitality instructor Shaminda Gibbs will visit National Institute for Professional Advancement (NIPA) and follow hands-on training for a full day.

This trip was made possible due to the diligence and consistency of the students and their teacher. Throughout the year, they sold various food dishes, all prepared by the students. colleagues, friends and family supported the students in this endeavour and now they are enjoying the fruits of their labour.

On Friday, June 15, Fortin and Arndell successfully completed their exams and passed with flying colours. Along with the rest of the GvP graduating classes they will be walking across the stage to receive their diploma.

The GvP school graduation ceremony will be taking place on Thursday, July 5, at Mike E. van Putten Youth Centre/Lion’s Den.
