The Police Traffic Department is investigating a serious accident involving a motorcyclist which took place on Sunday morning.
The accident occurred along Airport Boulevard in the S-corner coming from Princess Juliana International Airport just before reaching the roundabout. According to police, the victim seemed to be under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the motorbike and slammed into the guardrail on the right side of the street. As result, he suffered severe damage to his right arm. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) for further treatment.
